Hello and welcome to Alan Seymour Photography. I have been taking photographs for over 40 years now, It all started with my Grans old Box Brownie I would pinch out of a draw and take the odd snap without her knowing, (I still have that camera today) then on to the Kodak Instamatics. I got my first SLR a Practica MTL 5 and a couple of lens from a friends wifes catalogue and paid a couple of pound a week, Wow I thought I hit the big time. Over the years various makes and models have come and gone before moving on to medium format cameras. And then the digital age hit us !!! I stated with a Canon G2 compact. Moving on to my first DSLR the Canon 10d. up to the present day I have the latest Canon has to offer. I am a professional canine photographer covering major canine events in the UK. I am also one of the principal photographers with the weekly canine news paper Our Dogs coving all major championship dog shows, I have covered the Main Arena at Crufts for the last 5 years and along with the C.L.A Game Fair and the Munster Circuit in Southern Ireland. I also cover a few equestrian events. My other photographic passion is Wildlife & Aviation. I spend a lot of time photographing Badgers, Deer, Birds and other wildlife, and aways trying to better my last shots. I have completed the Natural History Photography City & Guilds module and passed with distinction. On this web site I will put some of the images I like and have enjoyed photographing for one reason of another. My love of wildlife comes from my grand father, as a young boy we would walk the woods and commons watching Badgers, Foxes, Deer and Birds in and around Surrey where I grew up. I now live in Lancashire and have done for the last 35 years. I have 2 lovely daughters and 5 wonderful grandchildren. My favourite places are Scotland, The Lakes, Ireland, and of course Lancashire, but I do like to go back to my roots a couple of times a year to Surrey. I am also a member of RSPB, WWT, Badger Trust, Lancashire Badger Group and The Wildlife Trust.
